- General
1.1. These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made at Egumeni Inn & Conference Centre, located in Brackenhurst, Alberton.
1.2. By booking accommodation, conference facilities, or other services, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and all persons included in the booking.
- Reservations & Bookings
2.1. Bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed upon receipt of payment or a valid credit card guarantee.
2.2. All guests must be over the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult.
2.3. Valid identification (passport, national ID) must be presented at check-in.
2.4. Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Payment Policy
3.1. A deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking.
3.2. Full payment must be made at least 48 hours before arrival, unless otherwise agreed.
3.3. Accepted payment methods: Credit Card, Debit Card, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), or Cash.
3.4. All rates are quoted in ZAR and are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
4.1. Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less any applicable bank charges.
4.2. Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will forfeit 50% of the total booking fee.
4.3. Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival or no-shows will result in 100% forfeiture of the total booking fee.
4.4. Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.
- Check-in/Check-out
5.1. Check-in time is from 14:00 PM.
5.2. Check-out time is by 11:00 AM.
5.3. Late check-outs are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Guest Responsibilities
6.1. Guests are responsible for the care of the room and its contents during their stay.
6.2. Any damage or loss to property will be charged to the guest’s account.
6.3. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum after 10:00 PM to respect other guests.
6.4. Smoking is not permitted in rooms or public indoor areas. Designated smoking areas are provided.
6.5. No pets are allowed, except for certified service animals with prior notification.
- Conference & Event Bookings
7.1. Conference bookings require a 30% deposit to confirm the reservation.
7.2. Final numbers and requirements must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event date.
7.3. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will incur a 15% cancellation fee.
7.4. Full payment is required before the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Restaurant & Bar
8.1. Outside food and beverages are not allowed unless approved by management.
8.2. Alcohol consumption is restricted to adults aged 18 years and above.
8.3. Guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully in dining areas.
8.4. Special dietary requirements should be communicated at the time of booking or upon arrival.
- Facilities Use
9.1. Use of the pool, lapa, and gym facilities is at the guestโs own risk.
9.2. Proper swimwear is required in the pool area.
9.3. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult in the pool and leisure areas.
9.4. The conference centre, lounge, and shared areas are for registered guests and conference attendees only, unless otherwise approved.
- Safety & Security
10.1. Egumeni Inn & Conference Centre is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless due to gross negligence.
10.2. Guests are encouraged to use safes provided in rooms for valuables.
10.3. Emergency procedures are outlined in guest rooms and must be followed in the event of an evacuation.
- Privacy Policy
11.1. Personal information collected during the booking process is kept confidential and used solely for reservation and communication purposes.
11.2. We do not share personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
- Liability
12.1. Egumeni Inn & Conference Centre shall not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage sustained by guests during their stay, except where caused by gross negligence.
12.2. Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
- Force Majeure
13.1. Egumeni Inn & Conference Centre shall not be liable for any failure to fulfill its obligations if prevented from doing so by causes beyond its reasonable control (including natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government regulations).
